Buttstock kits for DPMS compatible lower?

What buttstock kits do you recommend for DPMS compatible lower receiver? I have a stripped lower and a parts kit. I need a buttstock kit with spring, buffer, tube, etc.., for my new .308 build. I like the looks of the Magpul PRS and UBR buttstocks. However, I am choking at the prices I've seen and would like something not too heavy as I am going to use an 18" barrelled upper. I want the rifle to balance nicely, but not so heavy I can't carry it. I already know how heavy the loaded magazines are as I carried an M14 and 10 magazines in the jungle for awhile.

I am here, welcome to the site, nice to see another .308 shooter.
and by the way, dude that is a totally cool avatar...........
I will look around and see what I can come up with, but for the .308 platform, unfortunately options are limited,
First off, check what DPMS has for stocks, I take it you want collapsible rather than the A-2.
I have a factory 6 pos. car stock on my AR-10, and have to say I like it.

I have a Fulton Armory set up with an 18" barrel and I spent the money on the MagPul PRS stock.

To be honest, I think that I wasted my money and a standard A2 stock would have been fine.

Pyro, thanks for the heads up. I agree. The price of the Magpul PRS and UBR are just too damned much for what you get. The price is wayyyyy out of line. Those stocks aren't worth more than a hundred bucks with the internals to me. I like the pistol grip on your .308 and imagine it was not expensive.

How do you like the 18" barrel from Fulton Armory?

I looked at DPMS like Ethron suggested. Pardus adjustable carbine stock from DPMS is looking pretty good to me @ $69.95 with the .308 buffer, spring and tube. If the carbine stock is too short I'll put a recoil pad on it.

I found a couple more you might want to look into,
The first is from LMT, the cost is not quite as high as Magpul's, I have seen them on SR-25s and 6.8s

The other is from Vltor, they are a little cheaper, I guess it depends on what you want and want to spend.

Sorry it took me a while to dig these up, things are a bit busy with me right now...
If you want some more ideas, let me know, I am trying to see if I can get ahold of Magpul, I remember seeing a couple of .308 ARs with the CTR on them. Will report back on my findings, if they ever answer the phone.....
