Does anyone on here have an R-25 or the light weight hunter from DPMS?

I was looking at an AR-10, but since I found out that the R-25 will accept Magpul .308 mags I think that is what I will be getting. I haven't been able to get any feedback from a DPMS .308 owner, so here is your chance.

I also like the camo that Remington is applying to it.

Haven't used the magpul mags in a LR-308 yet (I know they accept them however), but I had a mostly positive experience with my LR-308. Chamber was tight (which is arguably a good thing) but made for some reloading difficulties until I had a small based body die in hand. Took several good shots with it from 150-700 yards in the time that I had it. No problems with factory magazines or feeding issues. Sold it awhile back for reserve money for the site, after doing it up in ACU digital.

Just because of those dam MAGS.....dammit,dammit, dammit....Ok I feel better now...

Actually I was thinking of buying one to see if I could modify it to work in my AR-10.

To answer your query, Remmington owns DPMS and bushmaster as well...that is where the got the parts and plans....LOL..
But seriously, either is a good weapon...buy it for what you want it for and what you like...most accessories will fit them, if you need some help...PM me.

No, Cerberus Capital Management 'owns' Remington, DPMS, Bushmaster, Cobb Manufacturing, Advanced Armament Corporation, and Marlin.

Remington owns Marlin.

Remington does not own DPMS or bushmaster in the slightest and for all intents and purposes, they should be considered independent companies and independent products. Cerberus is an investment company that owns far more than 'firearm industry' companies, they do things to turn a profit, not consolidate and make monopolies. Each company still retains independent management and direction.
