Iron Ridge Armory complete lower w magpul stock, $899.00Armalite Super SASS upper $1814.00, and a Trijicon 3x9x40 mildot Accudot on a one-piece Armalite scope mount $900.00. I checked the webesites and the total for this package would cost approx. 3400-3500.00 tax. Of course, that is MSRP. The gun has supposedly only been fired three times total and looks as new. I can buy everything for $2200.00 cash. Being that the lower is not an Armalite to match the upper is this a good deal? I don't know anything about the lower but it seems to be high quaity. According to the website it is one piece billit 70-75-T6 machined, not forged.I have to decide quickly. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks.

I think that is a good deal considering what you get. If you ran into problems the upper and scope mount are worth what you will have into it. I have heard good things about the ArmaLite Super SASS though I don't have any first hand experience with it.

TB, the SUPER SASS upper alone is 2K, so there you go...you get the rest for 200 bucks....sounds like a deal to me.

Question on the upper, does it have the factory gas valve.???

Yes, the upper is factory except that the fore-grip panels were replaced with Magpul panels. I need to finish breaking it in but it alredy shoots very nice. It also has the Magpul pistol grip.

Even though this receiver is machined out of single 7075-T6 bilit and looks more robust than the Armalite lower, I might still buy an Armalite lower and switch the parts so it is not a mis-matched gun. We'll see, I haven't made up my mind.

I still need to decide on a bi-pod. Any suggestions?

Check my article, I use the LaRue bi-pod mount...You will love it....

and the Shooter's Ridge Rock Mount....they cost less than the Harris and do the same dam thing for $40 less, they even have the swivel on too...

The two together are more than enough...

But that is just my Opinion...

decide on a bi-pod and attach my sling. So far it only has nine rounds through it.Once I finish the break-in process I will begin shooting for groups. So far I am very happy with it.
