I got my 92FS back in the mid 90's when they were all the rage - I literally walked into a gun shop with 3 cases of 5.56mm ammo( that had cost me about $100 Ea) and traded for a new one, This was right after the Clinton ban when Ammo was a premium like now.

Very accurate and smooth shooter(Like a Cadillac).......Remember all those 'Lethal Weapon ' movies ???

I wish I had never sold mine, but there is always the future....I have to say they are one of the best pistols I have ever owned....It was nothing to put a couple hundred rounds through it on a weekend....and easy to clean...never had any problems....

I had one in the early 90's as well. Sold it for two Glocks. Dumb move. Sold the two Glocks and ended up with a HK. Good move. Still miss the 92FS.

my buddy has a 90-two in .40 and he loves it. ive shot a fair share through it also and think its a pretty nice gun. all though i would never pay what he paid for it and if i had to pick id take my xd .45 i had over the nintey-two.

I like my M9A1. Can't say it's my favorite, but it is pretty damn cool. Mec-Gar makes a 20 round magazine with a flush fit that I like better than the 20 rounder pictured in the brochure.

I have a self -imposed restriction to 1911's only because I got

and for anyone else that wants to know the difference be tween the M9 and the 92FS

and the simple operation of the 92 FS.......

God I do love these guns.....wish I still had mine, it almost make me want to put getting my M-15 on hold, ALMOST.....

Or you can get a FS... a n d.. the M9 in case the helos are on your tail.
Surprised our professor didn't point out the lanyard loop.
I like the 3 dot set up and a radiused backstrap can't hurt.

My 92FS was bought in early 91 and had a straight dust cover. I had limited time on the M9 and had fallen in love with it. You couldn't get M9's on the open market back then, so I had to get the 92FS. The early models had no difference other than markings and finish in those years. My 92FS was blued, where as the M9 was Parkerized if I remember correctly. Today, there seems to be more differences. I may just have to plop some cash down and buy another one. It's like finding out you broke up with a hottie and now your friends are f'ing her. You bastards!
