Thanks Recoil.... I have enough pistols in the safe that I can "spread the wealth" and not take out too much on one particular pistol... The recon gets a rotation in the line up often enough that I know the feel of her in my hand without having to look at her to see which one she is... Of all my "daily drivers", my Kimber Ultra CDP has the most "wear and tear", as I carried that gun daily for over 4 years before I started adding others to the mix and letting her rest...
One of the nice things about the Hard Chrome finish of the Recon and my Springfield 1911, is that it wears like iron and never shows the use/abuse. I have well over 10,000 rounds through the Springfield and you would never know it by looking at it. That gun is semi-retired now, as I don't want to have a new barrel fitted and sent to be Mag-Na-Ported to match the slide.
