I spent Desert Storm on the bow of a nuclear powered guided missile cruiser looking for mines. We were usually doing 22 knots trying to keep up with the carrier. Glad we never found one. We also had an Iranian F4 lock onto us with its firecontrol radar. Because of the Vincennes, we were never allowed to shoot it down.
