I'm off for the next 2 weeks waiting to head to Chicago for a nice vacation with the wife. I was tired of having a straight black XD a few years ago so I Duracoated it in a 'Desert Tiger-Stripe'. I thought that was to much so I did the slide in a matte black and the frame in a coyote brown. Now that I'm off these next two weeks and have a media blaster now, it's time to transform the XD again. So I decided to see what my unit flash would look like in the handle and an 'urban multi-cam' to cover the frame and put a satin black on the slide and barrel. Let me know what you guys think, I did it with about an hours work total into the paint and tape, blasting and prep was about 3 more hours.

Point to self: When GR is bored, send him paint and a gun. The results are fantastic.

I like the urban multicam. The flash might look better a little smaller IMHO. Have you done an AR in that color scheme yet?

I agree it would have looked better if the flash was smaller,I was thinking the same thing as I was putting the masking on. No I haven't used this scheme on anything but this one. I'm still thinking about accent colors, I was thinking a dark blue and a true white because the white I used here was called arctic shadow. its still tuesday and i have until after Easter off so I have plenty of time to tinker some more.

What good is that? He has to manually close them. And the slinky is definitely the weak link! I could never get those f'g things to do that when I was a kid. That's awesome!!!!
