Ya - just remember divide by # of colors and get at least that much coverage on your first mask, even more on your next.
3 color = 33% total coverage on your first mask layer. 50% on your next (masks overlay masks, so its necessary to get about a 1/3 of your second color left).
4 color = 25% total coverage on first layer, about 33% on your next, 41-45% on last
Just rough guides of course but total volume as in amount of the gun covered in fresh, unpainted masking!
