Nice! F/A Spikes Tactical... not bad at all. I'm going to try to make it to cheyenne wells next year, not sure if I'll be able to pull it off yet but its on my list. Maybe catch a few of you guys over there

Yes RDIAS there is only two ways as a civilian to legally convert a spikes tactical to F/A either a RDIAS or RLL.

Or get a C3 dealer license and get LEO letters authorizing you to purchase post dealer sample. Fat chance in hell of that however, but man would that make collecting NFA's easier.

Other side??? Oh wow, I gotta talk to you about a smiley selection. ROFL. But for owning really cool toys, there is a much better way than a dealers license and LEO letters. Get a manufacturers license and make your own. No LEO letters required for that. Karl.

Only one problem with a manufacture license the IATR fee alone is $1750.00 a year it cost about $2200.00 a year to be a licensed manufacture.

Cheaper to just buy post samples.

For those of you who don't know David is an 07/02 out of NE and he makes me laugh you just have to get used to his sense of humor. He was a mod on the other siteand is now banned like every good knowledgable member they ever had.

See you at the MG shoots in CO next year David........hopefully you and Alan don't get into it over your glock conversion again.........Sorry but that thread made me laugh.

It works the same as an m16 sear when F/A however it really is not the same. When a true M16 selector is in the semi position the sear does nothing as the cams on the selctor remove it from funciton. A RDIAS always engages the hammer whether in semi or F/A.

As far as what is the best well I would rather have a real m16 however do to the 86 ban I chose the RDIAS I could have bought either one at the time. My logic is this my sear can be moved to any gun I choose and sometimes MG's go bang. If you have a registered reciever and it go's bang you must send it out for repair since you can never replace it. If my m16 go's bang I just remove my sear salvage any parts I can andgeta new host.

My gun has never even had a hickup except when the gas key came loose. It runs like a sewing machine and is just as reliable as a registered reciever.
