Can anyone tell me if these guns have jamming problems?

Colt Defender .45 3" barrel

Para Ordanance .45 3" barrel

Kimber Covert .45 3" barrel

If they do, what machining or customizing, if any, can be done to eliminate the problem.

I'm a PO guy myself. I carry and LTC but I've played with the Warthawg lately and found that I liked it a lot. It was little enough to carry without printing and it didn't have any feed problems. I have a friend of mine that carries one every day and he swears by it. So, in my personal experience it doesn't have any feed problems.

I have both a Kimber Ultra Elite and a Springfield Micro Compact and both are 100% reliable with several thousand rounds through both...

I carry the Kimber Ultra Carry II (3" .45) and have shot several different types of defensive loads threw it and havn't had any jamming issues. I now keep the Pow'R Ball rounds in Wilson Combat mags to avoid any chances of jamming on the feed.

I Got a Llama mini max 2parts kit from a guy on GB, and on one of my frames it shot well but the compact it needed to be tuned a bit becouse it jammed alot.

I have a couple of 'shorties'. The P10 isn't carried much but the Kimber Ultra II sees a lot of service both in outside the waist and in the small of back.

The P10 had a lot of problems during breakin but after about 500 rds smoothed out to some extent. The last couple of hundred rds have fed smoothly but it does like Remington Golden Sabers as it favorite diet. It has not and never will like Win Silver Tips for some reason. More or less regulated as a 'safe Queen' until it sees more shooting. Would I buy it again? Nope.

The Kimber has never given any problems. it has about 1000 rds through it now. The only complaint with the Kimber is the finish on the slide exited the picture early in places. With me that isn't a 'biggie' as I think a little character is added with usuage.

I have a Kimber Ultra Carry II that I love for ccw. No problems at all in 400 rounds. It has never jammed in double taps or rapid fire. GREAT pistol!!!!

1 for the Kimber Ultra CDP II... Not one problem in a couple of thousand rounds and almost 6 years of concealed carry.

From what I understand, Colt finally got it right and figured out how to make a 3' .45 barreled weaponshoot reliably. I feel the Colt Defender would be the best bet for a 3' 1911 to carry, especially if you wanted a real small piece. John COTEP# CBOB0282

Anybody got an ultra carry , thinking about getting one in a couple weeks I'm thinking stainless with nightsights not a fan of lasers obviously i know everyone likes them who has them but anyone have any issues with them?

Saw a guy at my range shooting what I believe was a warthog, when it got to the second to last round, it ejected it unfired and chambered the last round in one cycle of the slide. Not that it was a big issue since the gun never 'jammed' but it seems a waste of one round too many.

Got a Kimber Ultra Raptor a few months ago. Have 919 rds so far.

Long story short...ok with ball ammo now (not at first) but does not like 2 brands of hollow points. Also the slide would lock back early on a loaded mag. Replaced slide stop.

I have documented the first 919 rds so far, and the stats are:

17 malfunctions total (12 ftf, 4 early slide lock backs, 1 failure to chamber first round)
