Ok here is how it started. My ol lady's nephew is in the army, one of his friends was needing money, so he bought it for $550.00, it was needing an enternal extractor. I fixed it for him during our thanksgiving dinner, free of coarse. Well he is fixing to get depolyed so he is letting me have it for what he has in it. All I can remember is its a kimber custom pto commander style pistol.

That's where I picked up that Colt Commander in the other thread.....Paid a whopping $225 bucks for it back in 1988......Same guy then sold me his Colt King Cobra for $250.

Here's a tip: Find a local paper like the American Classifieds (Thrifty Nickel) or just the classifieds of the local paper. Check it daily. You'll be surprised what you'll find in regards to firearms. Some people don't know what they have, others know, but need the money and firearms liquidate quickly when priced right. Good luck.

I'm usually on the other end of the deal.I sold a Taurus PT111 millennium and a M&P.45 for $650.00 together.That was $400.00 for a slightly used M&P45.I went to the gun store several times a week to finally get one of those 45's.The Taurus was the first pistol I ever bought when I turned 21.It wasn't a very nice pistol but in great shape.I was desperate,but I got my M1A out of deal when everybody was out of stock even online.This was during the beginning of the gun scare.

I know a guy who did a engine swap for a Kimber tactical.I tried to buy it last year but he wouldn't sell it.Douchebag. No he's not really a bad guy.He'll get desperate eventually.Probably still wont have the money though.I can always start cheap and trade and work my way up.

I know this is off topic, but I traded a nice Ruger Mini-30 with a scout mount, red dot scope, muzzle comp, 3 magazines and 150 rounds of ammo for an A/C condensor and install to my A/C guy..... it was June in Phoenix... (115 degrees) I actually think that I got the good end of that deal... It was a great rifle, but I saved over a grand that it would have cost me above the value of the rifle and no A/C in Phoenix during June can make you pray for death....

If you picked that up for $550, you better check the S/N to make sure it isn't HOT! (just kidding) You STOLE that gun at that price. I have a CDP Ultra (officer model size) and they are selling for a grand right now..

You better go buy a lottery ticket my friend because you are having a serious lucky streak...
