I have an Army issue model 1911. Serial number puts the date of origin for the frame in late 1918. It has an Ithaca slide. Typical parkerized finish, 90%. My dad purchased this through the NRA/DCM back in the fifties. I have the original grips and two
GI mags that came with it. The only thing not box stock is the flat mainspring housing. At some point, my dad had a Pachmyr housing with the rubber checkering put on it.
The throat and feed ramp has been polished for better feeding, and the gun was checked by a gunsmith just a month or so ago.
Any idea on what I can expect? I need enough to buy a new Remington R1.
