Well since no one is answering I'll tell the little I know about them and the company........
I.O. Inc used to be another name/company years ago if memory serves me, They had some financial and legal issues over the years, Always had been an Importer for the same type of stuff Century Arms sells......
The claim is that over the past few years they've invested heavily in tooling and equipment to produce they're own American made AK's......But other info suggests some of that like the Barrels, Receivers my be outsourced.......I really don't know that much more about them for a thumbs up or down.
Here's what I know and expect from an AK on a quality build :
Chrome lined bore, Good rivet work, Hard anodized bolt, Stainless gas rod, Tapco G2 Trigger or equivilent to reduce "trigger slap".
Make sure to examain the sites and trunnion to make sure they look aligned properly, Pay close attetion to the front site : If it's drifted far off to the right or left. Look for another one that isn't.
American made barrels have had "Some" issues : Chamber dimensions causing stuck cases with certain ammo, Key holing due to dimensions and incorrect "Twist Rates" were a Known problem on some of the different 5.45 builds.......If it's not chrome lined : probably a U.S. Barrel.
Stick with the wood stocks, The hollow plastic furniture will beat your chin to death.
I believe the best ever built AK's were the Poly's and Norinco's if you run across one, The Arsenal Saiga is also hard to beat......Take your time checking them all out and look around, It's really easy to get a POS AK.
And don't be expecting Match accuracy from any of the AK's, about 3-5 inch groups at 50YD is about average........Good luck !!!
