Do They Deliver?

Hi everybody. New to AR-15.com and have a question. I ordered a model 3060 AK-47 f(Russian Red furniture) from Lancaster on the 7th of November. As of today I still don't have it. Last time I called they told me that I would have it "next week". That was 3 weeks ago. Has anybody received an AK-47 from them recently. If so, when did you order it. I'm having a hard time believing that they are stillfullfilling orders forAK's from before the election.

Hey Torch - welcome aboard.

I've never dealt with Lancaster but I have been dealing with companies that I've ordered parts from since before the election. When I ordered thins were 1 to 2 months out... Now I'm being told October, Novemeber this year. I wish you luck with your purchase and I hope you get it before the next ban goes into effect.

I ordered a Sig 556 SWAT on Nov 12 and I just picked it up on Saturday. A lot of orders were placed in the first two weeks after the election. Where I live, all the gun stores in town sold out of semi- auto rifles in the first 6 hours of business on the day after the election. I hope yours comes in soon.

I can't wait to hear your report on the SIG. The couple I've handled at shows and shops fealt heavy, but that would be expected from a piston design. I've been dying to shoot one. It's seems a sweet firearm!

Seems to be kind of touch and go lately. I've heard similar stories to yours.

I went tothe range on Sunday and talked to a few guys from our local police department who were there. They all commented on how long it was taking to get things and how much prices had gone up. My gun dealer says orders he's placed are taking a month or more to fulfill.His shop is really small. Hekeeps maybe 25 hand guns, 15 shotguns, and 15 rifles in stock. Yesterday he soldhis lastCentury AK, 2 Bushmaster ARs, and a .308. He's got 1 AR left, a Les Baer for $2,200.

Irecently chose to upgrade my arsonal with another AR and another AK and decided to buy in-stock items from Internet sellers who had the rifles in hand. I got the AR and should have the AK tomorrow. No excuses.

I ordered a rifle from Lancaster on Dec. 5th. What is frustrating is I have tried to contact them by phone and by e-mail about the status of my order and I am getting no response. Customer service seems to to be very poor so far. They have my money and I have no idea when my gun will be mailed out.

Sorry to hear about this - Your the first one I thought of when I saw the Thread.

I recently purchased something very valuable.....I asked the seller to hold off shipping it till after the Holiday rush to avoid damage or loss.

Well looks like things are working out. Was finally able to get through to Lancaster. They confirmed my order over the phone and by e-mail. They said the gun would ship on the 18th, but I won't feel at ease till it is in my hands. I'm hopeful I will be putting some rounds down range with it sometime after Christmas. I will keep you all posted.

Very Nice!!!......Glad you finally got it.

I'm very curious if you experience any "Key Holing" issues......One of the things I've been trying to wrap my head around is the twist rate of these barrels, It's supposed to be around a 1/8 if it's like it's Russian cousin......But that seems like a bit heavy twist for a light/long bullet to me - Almost like it's designed to be unstable and tumble.
