My father recently tried to order bulk powder and primers online recently and was told that The People's Communist Republic Of Massachusetts law against online and mail order ammunition sales applied to components as well. Now we need to find a place to buy powder and primers locally, or as least just over the border in one of the free states. Anybody know of a source for these items? Unfortunately, the guy we used to buy components from retired. I wish I had saved a business card of the guy selling bulk lead bullets at the last Holbrook Sportsman's Club Gun Show.
We are interested in buying 10~20k of primers and roughly 30~50lbs of powder for rifle and pistol.
We just set up a new Hornady Lock-n-Load
AP with automatic case feeder and have little in the way of components at the moment. I'm
OK for .223 powder, primer and bullets but my Dad and brother really want to load up some .45 Long Colt and .44-40
WCF.
We are willing to drive to
NH,
VT or even down to
RI or
CT if we can find a dealer with a good selection and plenty of stock. Any suggestions?
