I have a product called "Aluminium Black" it's really just an Anodizer to turn it black, Won't do anything for nicks or gouges but will turn them black again - Much like a cold bluing type process, Degrease, Put it on and work it in a little, Then wash off.
The only way to get the scratches out is to Bead/Sand Blast and recoat or re-anodize, Still you can't go so deep as to "thin" the receiver with the blasting.
