I am very impressed with the Ruger. Through my standard SR556 I have shot over 3000 rounds and its been reliable, no failures and accurate too. Its a bit front heavy but I forgive it because the HBAR setup gives me something back when I actually shoot it.
The SR556C is lighter by 1/2 pound in the front and its very easy to move from one target to another compared to the standard SR556. I love both Rugers as each has its own advantages. SR556 seems to group better and the lighter SR556C swings faster from one target to another. Love 'em both. I would have to give the Rugers a A+ in functionality. Cleaning the gas piston system is very easy as well. A+
The fit and finish is great, Ruger has done a great job. Grade A
Overall value when you consider what they throw into the package is a A+. 3 PMags, Troy Front and Rear battlesights, Troy covers, Tro rails, hogue grips.
If you get a chance to shoot one I would highly recommend it. Its recoil impulse if very smooth. A+
Overall, I love 'em. Final Grade: A+ and I would not say it if the rifles did not leave the impression on me.
