my local academy put .223 rounds from monarch on sale for 3.99 for a box of 20 i got 400 rounds for 77 dollars not to mention my cashier friend there didnt ring up 2 boxes so i only paid for 18 instead of 20 but still 3.99 a box is the cheapest cheap ammo i have seen yet

Thats the same price at the Academy here. Haven't seen anything cheaper. Is it reliable? I've been wondering if the stuff is made by Wolf or not.

it is the only thing i have ever shot threw my ar only because i cant afford to shoot the other stuff i have never had a ftf or any thing i have shot about 1500 rounds threw my ar prefect ammo for shooting paper

Shit, you're doing good. I can't even get Wolf in any of the stores around here. I can get Silver Bear hollowpoints at a local-ish gun store for $10.95 / 20-round box, Federal XM-193 for $15.95 / 20-round box at Big 5, or Fiocchi XM-193 for $44.95 / 100-round box at one of the liquor stores.

no idea what academy is, bishop those prices are crazy! id be ordering all my ammo off the internet if i had to pay those prices. you can get 500rds of wolf for 100$ + shipping.

i can not afford any thing over 5.99 a box of 20 iam forced to shoot cheap i dont see any thing wrong with the ammo i shoot i havnt had a problem with it....

Well, here you go...if you buy a case (1000 rounds), it comes out to $3.99 a box. You can't get much cheaper than this! I shot 500 rounds of this stuff a couple months ago, it's good plinking ammo. Although dirty to shoot, it cleans easily with brake cleaner.

First of all, what are you guys talking about when you say Acadamy?

Bishop, if you don't mind the drive (call first) the Sportsmen's Den in Oakhurst usually carries XM for around 9.00 a box, sometimes it get's up to around 11.

I bought a case of Wolf (1000) for $250 on the internet. However, as of 2011, here in California internet sales of hand gun ammunition is being banned. For that reason, most internet sales companies that I deal with are going to stop selling all ammo to California... including Cabellas.

Academy is a sporting goods store. It's like the wal-mart of sporting goods stores. I'm sure it's just a matter of time before pther states start banning online ammo purchases.
