Ok, it's obvious that I'm not well versed on the .458 Socom. That being said, all I have to do is replace my upper with the .458 upper? Seems the buffer spring would need to be replaced with something a little heavier gauge...right? If not, how many rounds fired before you have to replace your existing buffer spring?
I really like this cartridge. I've read a lot on it throughout the internet since you posted this. It's kind of got me chomping at the bit. The only thing I don't like is ammo prices. Presently, I don't own a reloading setup and several dollars a pop for a round is steep. I mean, it's stepping into .338 Lapua and .50 cal territory. That's my only drawback, well, that and the $ right now.
I'd like to see how much that huge hunk of copper/lead makes a steel target move.
