A couple of things come to mind concerning
IWB. Your waist sized
pants should be bought one size larger than what would otherwise be comfortable and I look for belt loops that can accommodate a 13/4 '
belt or larger. The thing about drawing from a
IWB rig is, it needs to be
secure, in the event of a tussle on the floor or what have you, but also
must release the weapon without it riding up and interfering with the draw.
That's where in my opin. a wider belt offers more stability to keep the
holster in place. I would make sure the weapon can be drawn with one hand ,as the other hand will be clearing your clothing and/or blocking an opponents strikes. That holster simply must remain in it's position while making the draw.
A sweat guard is a good idea, but I always wear a wife beater long enough to tuck lower than the holster is inserted so there is some protection from body moisture and it won't ride up and interfere with the draw. A wife beater just feels natural to me anyhow, whether I'm carrying or not.
As stated by a nationally known trainer,' A concealed weapon is not
supposed
to be comfortable, it's supposed to be comforting'
However, when you find the right set-up, it can be quite comfortable and
well hidden, and you can almost forget about it until you need it.
