Got this from the NRA, just thought I would post it, so if any of you come visiting Nebraska and you are on the list you can carry.

Nebraska Attorney General Drafts Concealed Carry Recognition List
Please Thank Attorney General Bruning!

Attorney General Jon Bruning (R) recently completed a comprehensive review of the concealed handgun laws in all fifty states. This review was done in advance of going into effect on Sunday, August 30. As a result of this review, the Attorney General’s Office has also compiled a list ofstateswhoseRight-to-Carry permits will berecognized in Nebraska.

Nebraska will now recognizeRight-to-Carrypermits from the following states:

Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Idaho, Hawaii, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, North Carolina, North Dakota (class one permit), Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Utah, Virginia, West Virginia, and Wyoming

In addition, permit holders from the followingstateswillbe able to carry in Nebraska, provided the permit holder is 21 or older:California, Iowa, Maine, Montana, North Dakota (class two permit), and Texas

Thefollowing statesdo not meet the standards required by Nebraska’s concealed handgun permit statute and are not valid inNebraska: Alabama, Delaware, Georgia, Indiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Mississippi, New Hampshire, New York, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, and Washington

I'll mark that on my map of friendly carry states. And I'll make that call to the A G.

This is not official but i believe CT recognizes any other state that recognizes us.

Gotta love good ol' Indiana. I got the Lifetime permit so I don't have to dink around every three or four years(whatever it was). I believe I will steer clear of Nebraska if it all possible.

Not that I'll ever go to Nebraska or anything. Hell I've never been west of the Mississippi. I've never even seen western Tennessee for that matter.

Just curious, about why Massachusetts does not meet the standards required by Nebraska’s concealed handgun permit statute.

Is it because we do not recognize any other state's licenses? We must go through a state and federal background check and be finger printed to get one.

Not whining, Massachusetts deserves being shunned by the free states. Just curious.

FL does a fingerprint card with federal and state checks as well. Your MA license is caliber specific, isn't it?

Not caliber specific. We have four licenses: Class A, Class B and F.I.D. and Restricted F.I.D.

Class A: All firearms (non-class 3) including carrying, hi-capacity rifles and handguns.
Class B: Low-capacity longguns and handguns, non-carrying. Basically target and hunting.
F.I.D.: Rifles and shotguns, low capacity only.
Restricted F.I.D. : Mace and pepper spray.

We're trying to get through a bill to go back to two only.
F.I.D.: Any type of longguns
and
License To Carry: All guns for All Lawful purposes.

Maybe now that that piece of shiite Ted Kennedy has finally done us all a favor and died we'll be able to get rid of some of the communist BS on the books. We still have several rabid communists in office here that aren't well known outside of the PCRM.

If you bother to get a CCW permit in Az. all it has is your personal identification info and the fact that you are qualified to carry CCW.... who cares what gun you choose to dispatch evil with? There is no restriction on weapon.... 1911, glock, sig, AK, M240, M249, M79..... your choice.

In MA we have to write a letter giving a reason for wanting one, provide 3 personal references and pass the NRA firearms safety course (to provide the certificate). No type of gun or caliber info is required...yet. As soon as they find out what the PCRC is requiring they will add that on too, I'm sure.

In Utah once you have the permit you can carry anything you want, any way you want. We can even carry on school grounds (wonder why Utah hasn't had a school shooting?) We are probably one of the most liberal carry states around. We accept everyone elses permits period.

I miss Maine. In the winter, with a heavy long coat, I could carry a G3 concealed, no problem. Nothing like a few mags of S-E-F 7.62 to handle a scumbag. :D

Is your permit issued by the county, or by the state? I was under the impression that, since they're county-specific, they're done by the county, and that only LE types have actual full-state permits ...
