Got a new toy for my Sig Mosquito, a somewhat inexpensive laser, now the wife can see where she is aiming, now if I can get her to practice with it......... LOL

It's my first, I want to get a laser max for the .45 but that will have to wait, although I was eyeing a NcStar which is much like the laser max, but not sure if it would hold up;
Anyone have any comments about NcStar lasers???????????

I have one from Laser Devices for my HK USP Compact Tactical. Haven't messed with it yet other than to point it at the wall. Wish I had pics.

hey ethron do you ever have problems with your sig jamming? i have 2 friends who each have a sig mosquito and they jam very frequently with all sorts of ammo wether they are clean or dirty. they always have seemed to do it also maybe 1 in 6 mags will work flawlessly. what kind of ammo do you use in yours? lube? i love pulling out my walther p22 infront of them and ripping through 250-500 rds with out a single problem. any ideas on how i can help my buddies get thier moquitos flying and biting like they should?

Yes they are picky little SOBs, I use the mini mags (CCI) and the Winchester HV, it seems to handle those quite well, as for the lube, TWB25B on the slide, and the MC2500 in the oil port and other areas that call for it.
I can get off about 75 rounds before she starts throwing a fit, I called Sig (very pissed mind you) they said that you have to re-oil it every 100 rounds or so, WTF, considering what I payed for it, yeah I'm a little POed. I had a .22 pistol a long time back, (don't remember the brand, I would have bought another) that I could about 500 rounds through before it would act up, I wish I would have never sold it.
As for helping your buddies, sorry not much there, it is a picky as gun, that is all there is to it, tell them to be ANAL about keeping it clean, and the mags to, it will work when needed that way.
If there .22s are like this, makes me wonder about their other pistols......

ahh well i guess thats a bummer for them and you. sorry. i really like how they look and feel in my hand. i did a ton of reading of reviews and stuff before i bought the p22. it was my first brand new gun and i neglect it to tell you the truth. id say i have close to 1000 rds of rem. thunderbolt through it since its last cleaning. speaking of which i should get to that. how does that lazer work and whats the brand? ive always wanted a lazer but real nice ones are real expensive and i would just be putting it on a .22 so i dont wanna spend alot but always worry ill have to re sight it in everytime i take it out. what do you think of your new little laser?

IP...that is a nice set up you got there to keep under your pillow..........

I haven't got to actually use it yet, really bought it for the wife, make it easier to plug an intruder for her, but it is fun to play with, the dog and cat love it, they chase the dot around and into things, the dog tries to bite it, funny as hell to watch, maybe I will make a vid, give you all a good laugh. Back to the laser, I bought it at wal mart, It is a Center Point, it was about $30, it also came with a pressure switch, but I don't like it, hey good enough for a .22 I think. It can be adjusted for windage and elevation, I have mine set about 30 ft. Stuck it in the vice, and sighted it in, good enough for close range, the wife should be able to hit something with it. I have to admit, it is fun to play with, the batteries are L 44s, not to expensive to buy, so you can have some fun with it. I have taken it out at night, when I was off, and played with changing targets, no wonder people like them, it beats aiming all the time.

Walther does make a laser for the P-22. I think it's a bit spendy, but looks very cool. I have the P-22 Limited Edition that has both barrels. Looks like the laser replaces the front section when using the longer barrel.

This works pretty good but it's a bit bulky, and hard to get use to the sight focus.

Very nice addition to the family, how's the laser holding up? I really like the Sig too!

I have a LaserMax on my Glock 22 and want to put one in my Glock 23. I put it in it about 5 years ago and it's still on the same set of batteries, but it's not like I turn it on a lot. It's the best thing since sliced bread and I highly recommend one, regardless of it's price. The best things about it; it's deadly accurate up to 25 yards and it doesn't interfere with holstering. Because it's inside the pistol, you don't even know it's there.It's good stuff and really durable. I give it two thumbs up.

Recoil, thanks, the Sig is ok, a very picky little gun and I still haven't got out to shoot it yet, hopefully soon, before the white stuff falls.
I was looking at a laser max, the one that fits on the under side rail, they don't make one for my Taurus like yours, dam I always seem to buy the odd balls, but it is a good gun, anyway, I thought about putting it on the .45, the center point, but it is only rated for a .22. NcStar also makes one similar to the laser max at half the cost, but I am not sure if they are dependable, haven't talked to anyone that has one. Will keep you posted on it when I take it out.

Well this is for Recoil, I took the Sig out when I did the load comparison, unfortunately the Laser crapped out do to the cold, but I did let off two Mags worth to show it will hit the broad side of the barn....LOL
This was 20 rounds at 10 yards.....

I'm glad you got to op check the laser, sorry it crapped out on you due to the extremely cold weather you have there. In that type of cold, I'm not sure a LaserMax wouldn't have done the same thing. It uses the little "watch" batteries and they are prone to cold failure, more so than AAA or AA batteries.

I have no clue about the NcStar products, some of the guys here have had good luck with the brand, some weren't so lucky. Best of luck to you in your quest.

Well an update on my new toy.....As it works indoors and at night, direct sunlight is a BIG no....Oh well, who needs it in the day time, out side anyway...LOL...I guess the old saying goes....you get what you pay for....so I really can't bitch.. Although it still gives me a piece of mind for the wife...so again, it does it's job...and the dog like it to....has fun chasing the dot...LOL
