Before I got my Milt Sparks holster which is the first one I can successfully wear in summer, I had to switch to my M&P9c in front pocket for summer carry. I made sure to NEVER have anything else in that pocket, and additionally I didn't carry with one chambered in the off chance I fell, bumped into, 'insert any action' that would cause a piercing of my pocket and wedging up of the trigger (or a finger slip while retrieving from said pocket).
Like Room, I had a big lent problem and had to clean weekly even if not used just to keep it running. Love this holster I have now, year round I can carry a .45 now with no pocket carry. It has been so comfortable, I'm debating what to do in winter. Traditionally I hip or shoulder holster my full size .45 since I'll have my thick leather biker jacket and carry extra mags in the inside pocket of the jacket. The only disadvantage there is if I go inside somewhere non-gun friendly and it is hot, I can't take my jacket off. So I may end up keeping the compact during summer months so I'm not bound to always on jacket wearing. We'll see... I like diversity in carrying.
