We saw 'The American' over the weekend. This movie is not going to be for everyone. It's directed in a European style, and speaks to the duality of man. For people who want to 'think' when they go to a movie, you may like it. If you are looking for mindless entertainment, go see 'The Expendables' and come out less intelligent than when you went in. I give it a thumbs up for the thinking man.

Sounds like an "Independent" film.......I like those.

As for the "Expendables" I heard it's Stallone's mid-life crises movie and not worth watching.

Is this the one with George Clooney in it?

Stallone was big back in the day when I was a kid. Now hes just washed up,hes just going to embarace his self tryin to make a come back. Hes going to break a hip or something.

I saw The Book Of Eli over the weekend. I loved it. Its a post nuclear war type movie with a different twist.

You hit the nail on the head with Stallone. And, yes, 'The American' was filmed very much like an independent film. I enjoyed it, and I found it refreshing that Hollywood bullshit wasn't involved.

'Book of Eli' was a great movie. One of my favorite post-apocalyptics.
