I have CT Grips on a S&W M&P 340 Centennial. This gun has an enclosed hammer. It only fires double action. I carry it in a Fobus holster. The CT grips fit the holster well. I shoot three inch groups at 25 yards, which I consider good for a short barrell double action with a very long trigger pull.
Once your wife tries these grips, she won't give them up. It is a lot easier to sight a red dot than to use the fixed sight. Her confidence will improve.
She will still feel the rcoil of the lightweight gun shooting p ammo. The grips don't help the recoil.
