Just picked up my first Glock. I had my buddies for about 6 months while he was on deployment, but never owned one myself.

Reading the Glock booklet owners manual it clearly states Removal of the plate for any reason voids the warranty. So I guess I gotta wait a year for that mod.

They sell these things all over the place, it was the second mod on my list. Extended slide release was first, and was done before I got the firearm home...LOL

Diesel, don't you know, everything now adays voids your warranties, shoot reloads, doing mods , just about anything that the factory wants to charge you for....LOL....good luck my friend...

I had a chance to pick up a slightly used Glock 27 last Wed.. I did not buy it though. I should have gotten it just to resell. I already have a weapon very similar.

My most recent purchases include both pistol and rifle and both of the owner's manuals say that firing reloads voids any warranty. But, they are they going to know if I fired a reload?

As far as the back plate goes... isn't that how you remove the firing pin for cleaning? I'm not huge on Glocks, I've got one some where but I don't think I've played with it in years.
