Looks like a photoshopped picture of female officers finger OUTSIDE
the trigger guard, but the resolution isn't clear to me. What is being alleged?

It looks like a right handed shooter shooting lefty but the angle makes it hard to tell. What's up with the f'n mag? It looks like a AK mag upside down and backwards. What's with this picture? Whatever mag it is it's definitely upside down.

I've seen this debated before. Consensus is that she has two mags taped together inversely to precipitate a quick reload, but the grainy picture makes it difficult to tell.

the magazine is inserted backwards. I use that picture in my power point for the Patrol Rifle classes that I teach... it's a good example of not knowing your equipement and the effects of stress on people... you know she had to FORCE that mag in there for it to stay.

well i dont no what kind of training she had but that arm sure is extended out words dont they teach you to tuck it? and ya the mag it could be what room said or it could be scared and trying to hurry and not paying attention just going of of Adrenalin

I dunno.......It looks like an AK mag "back asswards".

When you start blowing up that picture to about 200% the edges just don't look right as opposed to the print and paper - like it could have been inserted or shopped........Been paying alot more attention to that type of stuff as people and software seems to be getting much better at it, Especially in the political stuff going around.

OK,

I pulled out the AR, taped two metal mags together, one upside down and backwards. You can drop the mag, spin it, and re-seat the other mag. It looks just like the picture. It even makes it stick down far enough to mimic the length and curve of an AK mag. I'll dig out the camera later, snap a picture from the tripod, and grainy it up a bit. This may be one plausible explanation for the picture. BTW, it's impossible to put a magazine in backwards, or at least it is on my AR.

in the pic it sorta looks like the mad is in the mag well u dont see it over lapping the gun i just think its photo shopped but thats just my opinion

Only thing that looks even marginally photoshopped is the length of her finger. That finger would make her girlfriend remarkably happy, or make bulimia very easy. (I'm just sayin')

The magazine, though, that looks like two mags clipped together. You can clearly see the bottom of the mag well, and ... yeah, it just looks like two mags clipped together.

I was able to get my mag to go in backwards partially and strongly resembles the picture. It hangs down just as low as the one in the photo. No luck getting it in upside down.

I did some minor digging and found where there was a partial letter from the guy that actually wrote the article. The photo is real and the photo was taken after the fact as a photo op for the article not during the stand off. The author of the article indicated that a fellow officer handed her the rifle with the mag in backwards, if was as a joke it was a cruel one because she now lives with this one for the rest of her days. The partial letter I found was on 1911forum.com in a post, so take it for what its worth. I want to believe that thats how it happened for the sake of the LE community. I would also say looking at her posture with the rifle that she could at minimum use a basic patrol rifle class and don't believe I would have or want her as my back up either.

For whatever reason after making the above post, I decided to some more digging. As I said before I wanted to believe the archived post and take it for what its worth(not much apparently). I found a copy of the letter from the author of the article that featured the picture and its sad to say the letter indicates what I feared most. She F'd up. I should say that the admin of the Dept. dropped the ball in the training dept. The article in the post apparently was re-type in the post some of it was same and of course some of it was not. Last week at swat training, I loaded the third shotgun shell in my benelli backwards.... It was freezing and I had decided after shooting for a few hours not to wear gloves. I'm glad it wasn't a real deal. Rest assured I will never make that mistake again. That one cost me laps around the range. Lessons learned

I still don't understand how it's possible??? For the life of me, I can't get any of my 'LOADED' mags to stay up in the magwell if inserted backwards. There's no mechanical lock if they go in backwards, so with the weight of the rounds in the mag, they just fall out. So, either she has some POS lower that isn't spec'd right, her magazine is somehow flared, or a combination of both. I'd love to see someone put a video up on YouTube duplicating this feat with a loaded 30-round magazine and keeping the gun in the position she has it in without it falling out. I can't do it. Maybe her mag is empty too? Nice chicken wing stance.
