I have a Universal too.I didn't post a picture of it cause I expected rude comments about how cheap they were..My dad always shot the Universal and kept the General Motors put up in the safe.I think thats the rifle that made him decide to buy a good safe.He used to have one of the old wooden and glass cases till he got this rifle.I would like to get a mil-spec buttplate for it.I'm not sure which one is correct their are several different styles.All very similar with just slight variations.
I found some info on another forum that tells you what all the markings and stamps mean.I'm really interested to find out more about this rifle.I want to know how authentic it really is.I want find out the value of it.I haven't had time to go over all the info yet.Maybe in the next few days or so. I don't plan on selling it.I had a friend of my father-in-law try to sucker me into selling it when I first got it.He thought I would be a idiot and just oh yeah i'll sell it for cheap.
