This could possibly happen in any state in the U. S.

Officers get calls, adrenalin pumps, they show up and react on emotion, rather than law. Then they find themselves trying to justify what they initially did, after the fact, when the adrenalin rush subsides.

If this guy would have had a lawyer, instead of a "public offender", he would have beaten the charges and probably owned half the county in which he lives. Because he essentially "lost" the case against him by pleading "nolo contendere" to the misdemeanor charge, it essentially gave the local sheriff's dept. a green light to do this shit again.

I wonder if the NRA would have done anything in his defense, if they had seen the evidence?

TRUE STORY.........

One Saturday afternoon my son is shooting a BB Gun in the backyard, We have a 1/2 acre in the back and an old wooden shed, I'd always make sure he put a target on the shed and used it as a backstop.......

Around Midnight there's a knock on my door......I'm not expecting company at that hour and my gates are locked so I grab my S&W Mod 10 that I keep handy for that purpose and start down the stairs in my undershorts.......My wife looks out the bedroom window and calls to me it's sheriff cars out on the street, I figure Hmmm - Don't think I'll go down with my pistol and layed it back on the dresser......When I opened the door I had one cop in my face hand on the butt of his weapon, And another off to the side in the shadows pointing his pistol at me.......He proceeds to tell me they got a report from a neighbor that someone was pointing a gun at them, I Explained that earlier that day my son was shooting his BB gun and the targets are on the shed in the back if he wanted to look - Of course he had to let me know what a "Tough Guy" he was and that someone could go to jail BLAH BLAH BLAH, WHAT AN ASSHOLE !!! Then they hopped back over my fence and left.

Turns out it was the illegal Mexicans next door that waited till midnight to call them on us as harassment, This because we've been calling the code enforcement on them for being soo fricking NASTY......Did the cops go visit them for making a false report or check for their Green Cards ???? NO.

Cops used to be cool in my area growing up, But those days are long gone......Most of them act like "Boot Camp Thugs".........I like how on the video the Cop had already made up his mind that the poor guy was an "Asshole" and "He was gonna FIND something to charge him with for going out there". WHAT AN ASSHOLE COP !!!

As it stands right now I can't even come home from the range and clean my guns in the garage because of shit like this......I have to keep them in the cases and back my van up to the garage or utility room door when I come or go with them so no one can see.

Seems we don't HAVE any rights anymore......That could've been me !!!

I hope this guy OWNS that county after that stupid-ass goat-rodeo pulled off by those Deputies.... If that happened anywhere near my agency, those morons would be fired, have their certifications suspended and they would be looking down the barrel of a federal civil rights violation law suit. (even if the citizen was wrong/in violation for shooting in a prohibited area)

I completely understand that the officer's blood will be pumping when they respond to a "man with a gun" call and they actually find a "man with a gun", and I am really not that disturbed by the choices that they made in the manner in which they confronted him at the gate and detained him for investigation, (they demonstrate poor tactics, poor training and poor discipline, but having only limited information, the deployment of a patrol rifle was not imprudent). What BLOWS MY MIND is the intent of the video, the search and seizure violations that are so blatant as to be shocking to the concience of anyone who sees them.

It is F*CKING MORONS like these that give those in the profession that work hard to be honest and professional, a bad name.... That retired officer in the video was struggling hard not to call these guys assholes....

(As a side note, I am saving these videos to a jump drive and intend on using them at work as training scenerios for my officers as perfect examples of what NOT to do and how NOT to treat people. I think I'll call the training...."How to violate the 4th amendment and get fired in the process"....

I'll tell you my gut feeling on the night in question I posted above :

Had I been anything other THAN a middle aged white guy obviously woken in the middle of the night and not doing anything wrong : They could easily claim Suspicion or what they like to call "Probable Cause" in my parts, Cuff me up and search my house .

Now say I come to the door half lit with a Budweiser in hand and get a little lippy, Or say : "where's your warrant flat foot".......They would cuff me and turn my house upside down, And make up some shit afterwards.....We have an old saying : You may beat the rap...But you won't beat the ride.

That seems to be how LEO rolls these days......All because an illegal called them to harrass us(Phuckers).

On a traffic stop recently where they were running one of their famous little fund raisers at an intersection.......I literally got stopped because I pulled over to use my cell phone(Silly), Then the cop(Moron) writes me a ticket as if I had tried to cut thru the parking lot, The cash strapped County is trying to make a buck by harrassing citizens.........Anyway the disturbing thing is the cop reaches for my door handle and tries to open the door, No warning, No "can I check your vehicle", Just grabs the handle and tries to open it....It was locked and I just looked at him like "WTF" ??? and rolled the window up a little tighter.

Sombitch knew he was wrong.......But being I drive alot I see other people on traffic stops with cops or troopers either sticking their head in people's cars, Or opening up their doors - WTF is that shit ???.......Illegal search ???......I see a lot of them doing it.
