Drug Cartel seizes Texas Ranch

Found this in my inbox this morning.........If true this could be considered an "Invasion" backed by the Mexican Government onto U.S. soil considering the Cartel's ties to their Government.

When the Big O was in Austin and Dallas for fundraisers last week, Governor Perry presented a letter requesting, among other items, an increase in federal help to control our borders. As you can see, the Texas/Mexico border is extensive and with the lack of people and technology available, there is no way it can be secured. This puts a massive burden on local law enforcement to take care of what is a federal problem. And, they lack the budgets as well as personnel.

From what I read, San Diego has dealt with more than a few incursions in the past. Texas, as well, experiences incidents as well. For example in 1988, an active sniper was present in the Big Bend area.

The border fence over areas in the Southwest was/is an expensive and stupid idea. The money would have been better put into training more personnel for the Border Patrol.

Federal control of our borders is definitely FUBAR.

Not sure I buy this one totally. It could, of course, have some merit if has ever happened before, which I would not doubt, but at the same time if it were a credible story then some reporter somewhere would have jumped on it and provided further information.

Just not 100% sure I'm believing this. You'd have thought Fox News or Drudge or somebody with some credibility and reporting clout would've put this kind of story front and center for the whole world to see.

And again, not saying that it hasn't happened or won't happen in the future, but if it's true then there are truly some serious and deadly national security issues at stake. But then the whole immigration mess is a national security issue too and so far Congress and the last 5 U.S. presidents have basically ignored the problem.

OK. I ran this by a friend at USSOUTHCOM. He hasn't heard a single thing about it, and based on what he does there, if it were true, he would have. Now, that being said, there could have been a drug deal going down at that ranch, but the way the story makes it sound, it didn't happen like it says. No invasion of innocent civilians going on to USSOUTHCOM's knowledge.

It got my attention so I put it out there.......Don't trust ANY of the media anymore to tell us the truth without biased or out right lying, When they even manage to report it.

If it hasn't happened yet sounds like a senario in the near future if we don't get control of that border.

I was watchhing Fox News last night. They show the " good stuff "
at 1:00 to 2:00am. There have been many incursions by cartel
into U S territory. Civilians have hidden camera video footage of such events, Mex cartel armed w/ full auto clear the " path " for the mules who
carry the drugs over to safe houses on our side. 20 to 30 people carrying
60 to 80 pound packs of drugs walking single file along the cleared path.
My gut feeling on this is if the media doesn't report on this, I hope it
means LE is free to use any means to do the "right " thing. I don't need to know if they slaughtered 50 cartel members and buried them in the desert.
They have my blessing. The dealers are also using a lake situated between Texas and Mexico to carry shit to the U S. Border Patrol doesn't have the resources to be in the right place to catch the activity so it goes unchecked.
The business is so lucrative, the cartels fight among themselves for
dominance. And these cartels are manned by some well trained and
well armed para-military types that we deny to our agents. I woke up this
morning in such a foul mood that I felt that if I hadn't killed at least 100
" parasites " today, I was falling behind. Yes, there is a war at the border
and the media will surely lose it for us if they get the opportunity. Just
my thoughts.

I have no doubt that instances of this type have and do occur. I can't account for this specific incident, but it is not beyond reason knowing what I have seen first hand in Az. There have been documented incidents in Phoenix (200 miles NORTH of the border or "DMZ" as some are starting to call it), where former Mexican military and suspected cartel hit men/squads have conducted home invasions while heavilly armed with military grade hardware, body armor, helmets and web gear. One of these home invasions, during which there was a large shoot out and resulted in a police chase took place less than 2 miles from my front door, on the same street in which my house sits.... I was woken up by the gun fire from this incident. The house they hit was suspected of being a "load house" for the break down of dope shipments.

This stuff is real folks.

I have the same breifing pdf Ranger... it is graphic... but it is also reality. Mine is marked "L.E. only-restricted", so I will not disseminate it without sending it to a authentic agency web address (or I could face consequences at work). The information show in it clearly demonstrates the military tactics, military grade gear and weapons and the training that these cartels are employing. Why they have not been designated as terrorist organizations and treated as such is beyond me.. If they were in the middle east, they would be right up there with Al Quada and the Taliban.... I guess money and drugs aren't as worthy of a cause as ideology and religion... (Rant mode: OFF)

OK, I guess I should clarify my statement above. No 'INNOCENT' Americans are the victims of home invasion by Mexican cartels. There are a lot of Mexican cartel living in the US, and I think it's safe to assume that these cartel raids are on cartel related slugs. USNORTHCOM has military in Mexico at this time. The border wars are now being tracked at the Pentagon. If there are home invasions going on with innocent people, the wrath of God himself would be raining down on the border and the cartels. Bush Sr had the cajones to start Project Colombia. Mexico has become that new threat. That would and may yet happen. But, drug thugs taking out drug thugs is still considered a law enforcement issue and out of the hands of the military due to posse comitatus. Home invasions by foreign 'terrorists' involving innocent civilians would be right up the ally of the FBI HRT. Not much happening there. Do a Google search on Project Coronado. You'll get an idea of how the FBI is working on this problem from a national law enforcement perspective (not talking about immigration/illegal aliens, as that's CBP and ICE and I think they are....well....). With the military invited into Mexico, this thing could turn interesting. We may not be able to put military at the border on the US side, but we may end up putting military on the border on the Mexican side by invitation. By no means am I downplaying the possibility of innocent casualties as the result of cartel-on-cartel violence in the US though. The innocent by-stander homicides in Mexico due to this kind of in-fighting is huge. While something needs to be done now in the US, innocents in the US haven't starting dropping yet in greater numbers than the standard gang violence numbers we are used to. Until they do, we are all going to get more and more pissed off about the situation. I really feel for AZ LE like TAC56 who are having ROE forced upon them by politicians who make decisions from behind desks and not from the trenches.
