I was wondering if anyone has tried any of the UTG products that I am starting to find on the web? They offer sights for less than $40 each and aluminum handguards in a few different styles for less than $50. I know that you get what you pay for but putting the UTG lightweight handguards next to my YHM lightweight handguards and I don't see much of a difference in quality. Thanks for any help!

I like their bags. I have a covert bag for my AR.

As for their hardware, for that price, I'd assume it's crap or made for Airsoft. But, I'm sure I'll be proven wrong.

I have a UTG Free float quad rail on on of my builds. Its actually a pretty good piece of equip. It tightened up very well and have made it through a couple thousand rounds with no problems. And I only paid about 75 bucks for it. It has performed just as one of my 350 Daniel Defense rails has...ABN

I have one of their quad rails also and as ABN don stated it fits nice and was easy to install and installed straight the first time. I have had mine for about a year and a half with no complaints. The only draw back is having all of that useless rail space for one light. Unless you are running a laser pointer or IR, I would look for something that fits your needs. I went back to the stock handgaurds on my SWAT rifle and just added a picitiny rail on the bottom to accommodate a forward grip (reference point) and light.

I have a UTG 2 piece free float quad rail hand guard on my Bushy and it seems to be just fine. It was like 70 or 80 bucks. I just thought that I would try it because it was so cheap.

Just got a brass catcher they make. Overall very nice and couldn't beat the price. I was a little shy, but got a little confidence in UTG now.

Well, I bought the rail to replace the foregrip/gastube on my AK & I like it alot - no probs. I also bought their flip up BUIS for my sportical and...they suck!

The front site is fine but the recoil from the shot knocks the rear site down

Also, I noticed after a few shots; the pin that the aperture flips up on drifted out! That's the equivalent of a hinge pin falling out of the front door in your house every time you open it! I quick-fixed it by dropping some blue Loc-tite on it and letting it ooze in, then broke it free by moving it up&down but that's what ya get for $40.00 (each). All in all, I wouldn't make the trip again & now understand why you bite the bullet & pay $100.00 ea. on up for good iron sites.

Summary:

UTG Rails: Good!
UTG $40.00 Iron Sites: Baaaad <---- There! You're vindicated Mem! lol...

I bought a leapers MNT-950RS02-B detachable Match grade A2 type rear sight, which I discovered was a UTG sight. I had no idea UTG was Leapers.

It seems to be well made and feels solid. I'll have to try to kill it and see if it holds up. I almost bought the flip up sight until I read the info above. Thanks Prophet. I'll have to take it to the range and shoot it with the sight set for 100 and run it up to 300 and shoot some and then run it back down and see if it shoots to the same spot. Probably do this a half dozen times to test.

I figured this was about the most expensive product from them I'd buy for now and if it sucked I wouldn't waste any more money on UTG.
