lower reciever for .22 build question

I am going to build my first AR platform rifle. Would a Bushmaster Carbon 15 lower make a reliable platform for building a dedicated .22 AR? What would be the pros and cons as oppossed to an aluminum lower? I plan on using a compete .22 cal carbon upper receiver in my build.

Personally I don't think there would be any difference aside from weight. My Spike's 22LR conversion works flawlessly in all of my ARs, including my Bushy.

However, if you want a dedicated 22 and don't have any plans for a .223 then you'll save a butt load of cash just buying a 22. I have also have a Colt M4 22LR imported by Umarex. They are priced right and their 22 mags cost as must as anyone else's.
