●Provide completely free, easily accessible organized information to all firearm enthusiasts
●Encourage firearm owners to shoot more often, meet more like minded people; especially locally; hopefully turning a hobby into a passion.
●Fight all anti-firearm legislation whenever possible, and encourage all users to do the same on a combined, organized individual effort.
●Provide a friendly launching point for other independent firearm groups & communities, and to provide the collective internet community with the resources
needed to have all firearm sites and their users working together whenever necessary to preserve and restore our freedoms and rights.
●Provide a very inexpensive platform to other firearm sites, so they can give quickly give their respective users the same level of technology and resources of a large scale custom site, without any of the costs.
Back in 2006, we embarked upon a mission to build a firearm community from the ground up, with the goal of
giving many firearm enthusiasts and shooters a home and a new information resource for all things firearm related that would be unrivaled on the internet.
Our beta site, AR-15.COM was launched on October 1st, 2007, giving our little corner of the internet its start.
A few months afterwards, we took note of the collective user input and started working on our production site, 1911.COM.
After thousands of hours of development strecthing well beyond a year, we are pleased to continue forward with the launch of our new site, 1911.COM, rebuilt from the ground up.
In the process of development, we integrating hundreds of requests, thoughts, and suggestions from our users.
If you have any doubts about where our heart is, please know: In over our two years of operation, and nearly three years of development, we never accepted even a penny from any source,
with the site completely and wholly funded off the resources and assets of its creator. We continue to do so as long as possible, however, to continue long term development and maintain the staff levels to keep up with the growing site,
it's no longer possible to keep operating in this fashion. That said, we will finally start accepting advertising in the near future and have created upgraded user accounts. In accordance with our pledge,
upgrading only provides novelty features. All users have access to all content for all time.
Unlike all other firearm communities on the world wide web, America's Firearm Network is not just another "forum".
Months were spent putting together a completely new method of operating a forum that addresses major issues encountered on all other sites.
As a result, we operate perhaps the only truly custom firearm forums on the internet, and have major features in the works that are not available anywhere online.
As always, we continue with our long standing policy; We pledge to keep the site free, for all time. Every necessary feature of the site will be accessible to you, no matter what.
We also will never accept any sponsorship from any company or organization. Our site is free of bias in all aspects firearm related.
We continue to ask for your thoughts and suggestions as we work on 1911.COM throughout the next year to get all planned features online.
1911.COM is still under rapid and active development, and we are in the process of bringing new features online on a daily basis.
We migrated to 1911.COM before all public features were completed, but rest assured - anything you find missing will be available within a few days.
Please contact us and let us know about any suggestions, thoughts, ideas or problems you may encounter while using the site.
