Postal codes & Local Range
- A postal code is required and validated.
- They are used to provide local features, including local-area forums access, and local market searches.
- They are not used to identify you. A central point is stored with every postal code, your "local" area is estimated from that central point.
- Local Range determines what area (in miles) around your postal code you want the site to considered local for you.
